"Goal Setting and Goal Achieving" 2

(contd..)
A goal can be related to anything, starting from their academics , sports, healthy relationship( towards siblings or friends or at schools),emotions, etc.
When we make it a goal, it helps to plan, make strategies, so that improves kid's focus levels, attention, concentration, leading to be organised.

With kids if we are helping them set the goals to know what it is, the goals can be simple and easily achievable, so that they feel happy and gain self confidence.

A few tips are

1)If appropriate, we can involve them and ask them their dreams/wishes, help them to convert it in to a goal.

2)WRITE the goals in the black board or white board, that is visible and easily accessible to kids.
( tip: we can draw some appropriate pictures so its registered easily in their minds
or help them draw in a paper and stick it on the wall)

3)Discuss with them about the ways to plan to achieve it. Let them initiate or lead, offer help only if needed.

4)Break the process of achieving the goal in to baby steps .

5)Make it a habit to review the progress every day, that helps them focused, that their goals are always in their minds.

6)Help them to draw or collect pictures associated with their goals, no matter what the goals are, Kids will benefit from a visual way to track progress in achieving their goals.

7)Celebrate their success genuinely, with the rewards( could be something that they have been asking for quite sometime and so on). Keep up their motivation level.

Below are wonderful pictures, that displays an idea of goal setting and goal achieving, both for parents and for kids.

Parents can create a goal along with kids and they together can work as a team , so that parents  support kids(and sometimes kids also remind parents about their goals when they are too busy with their schedules) at every stage while achieving.

A few samples and ideas from internet to make our own goal charts for kids and decorate their rooms .

Let us groom our kids in a directed way to  reach greater heights
